HotSermons

HotSermons

HotSermons is dedicated to providing quality Christian resources for Christian leaders. At HotSermons, you'll find many of the resources that you'll need to help you in your ministry, including expository sermon outlines, topical sermon outlines, gospel sermon outlines, communion messages, Bible reading planners, topical Bible studies, expository Bible studies, leadership training, sermon illustrations, and more. Here's an outline of what's available:

Topical Sermon Outlines - Series

It's great to explore a subject in the Bible in greater depth than a single message can do. In this section, there are ten (so far) Topical Sermon Series Outlines ranging from Accessing God's Power to War Zone, a series of nine sermon outlines on spiritual warfare.

As with most of the resources on this website, the Sermon Outlines can be downloaded free. Just click on the link to download them as a PDF file.

Video Sermons

These video sermons are all posted on YouTube for use in online churches, Bible studies, Bible colleges, or for personal use.

The sermons, by Pastor Tony Llewellyn, cover various topics such as the Faith series, or else they are expository in nature, like The Lord's Prayer series.

They are free to use and we hope that you share them with others too. This is a growing library.

Gospel Sermon Outlines

Let's face it, we Christians exist because of the power of the gospel. If the gospel didn't exist, neither would the church.

There are two different kinds of gospel messages in this section. There are ones that aim to focus specifically on the truth of the gospel like The Meaning of the Cross or What Is A Real Christian? These are straightforward gospel sermon outlines that talk about what Christ has done for us.

However, we recognise that in many cultures, a lot of people aren't interested in the gospel, so we have to be smart. We have to do what Paul said and "become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." (1 Cor 9:22) I call these sermons "Life Talks" because they deal with topics many non-Christians (and Christians!) can easily relate to in their everyday lives. The idea is to speak to where they live, give them practical help that they can use, and at the same time open their eyes to spiritual truths, and in particular, the gospel.

Topical Sermon Outlines

These sermon outlines are topically based and work as stand-alone messages. They include messages such as Boldness and Winds of Change.

Expository Sermon Outlines

Topics are great, but exposition of Scripture can reap great dividends. The Scriptures cover so many different topics, even in a short book like James. Expository sermons give you the opportunity to follow the flow of thought that the original writers intended.

Communion Messages

Wondering where to get your next communion message from? It's not always easy to come up with something different and interesting, and yet presenting the unchanging truths of what Christ has done for us. These messages have been specially designed to help highlight different facets of the gospel, without compromising its truth.

Topical Bible Studies

HotSermons presents a whole range of Topical Bible Studies ranging from anger to worship

These studies are specifically designed to be suitable for groups as well as for individual study. PDFs are downloadable free.

Expository Bible Studies

Expository Bible Studies are also available here at HotSermons so that you can explore the Scriptures more deeply. Expository studies currently available include Jonah in the Old Testament and Romans in the New Testament as well as others. PDFs for these studies are also downloadable free.

Parable Bible Studies

These studies are great for understanding what Jesus taught regarding the Kingdom of God. The parables illustrate important truths about the kingdom that every Christian needs to grasp.

Sermon Illustrations

One of the ongoing challenges of being a preacher is trying to make your messages as interesting and memorable as possible. Sometimes it's a lot easier to come up with the main points of a sermon than stories that illustrate those points. Jesus was a master storyteller, and used stories to great effect in illustrating important spirutal truths. To help solve the problem of coming up with new stories (as well as quotes, jokes, etc.), we have an ever-increasing library of sermon illustrations.

Christian Leadership Studies

Leadership in the church is vital. Leaders need to be thinkers who are interested in developing their gifts and abilities to fulfil their potential.

In Western countries, we often have a plethora of resources available in this area. But in many countries of the world, leadership resources are expensive, if available at all. The aim of this section is to provide a basis of training for pastors, who can then pass on the same training to other leaders in their churches.

Small Church Support

Don't get the wrong idea here. We're not giving away money or Bibles or whatever else you might want us to send you.

I'll apologise in advance. If you send me an email asking me to send you money, Bibles, books or whatever, you probably won't even get a reply.

I've put a lot of work (and many hours) into developing the resources on this website. What you see here represents my investment in your ministry. I hope you like what you see, and get a lot out of it. But if you're looking for more, then you're looking at the wrong guy. I simply don't have unlimited resources.

But if, as a small church pastor, you're looking for practical advice and help from someone with experience in a small church, I think you'll find what you're looking for here.

Daily Bible Reading Planner

And then there's the Bible Reading Planners. These planners are to encourage you (and your congregation) to get into God's Word regularly and consistently. If you don't, you aren't going to last long in any kind of ministry, but especially a leadership role.

Finally, don't forget to check out our Bible Studies.

Why So Much Free Stuff?

Almost everything on this website is free because we believe in the principle of sowing and reaping. If we sow into your life and ministry by providing you with free resources, then we will also reap a reward in eternity.

Naturally, we hope that you will purchase some of the excellent resources available too. After all, everyone has to make a living, don't they? But if you don't, that's okay. God isn't limited to just one way of being able to bless us.
