An old Frenchman went to his priest for confession. "Forgive me Father, for I have sinned," he said. "During World War 2, a beautiful woman came to my house and asked me to hide her from the Nazis. So I hid her in my attic." "There's no need to ask forgiveness for that, my son," said the priest. "It was an act of heroism in war." "But," the man said, "Then she was so grateful, she started to offer me sexual favours, and I guess I went along with it." "During wartime situations people do strange things," said the priest. "But if you are really sorry for your actions, you are forgiven." "That's a great relief to me," said the old man. "Now, may I ask you just one more question?"
