World in the New Testament usage is a sociological order established by man which rejects the righteous government of God over man and in particular rejects God's righteous governor the Lord Jesus Christ. So the world is a congregation of rebels. Derek Prince

"Do not be conformed…" Examples of this kind of conformity everywhere. I remember looking into a fir tree - a part of it moved - stick insect blends into its surroundings. If people can't tell the difference between you and the rest of your peers, you have blended in, you have conformed to the world.
